Real "Test" Order Policy: Active License Requirement
Shoppable does not process real orders on behalf of any B2B customer without an active license agreement in place. This policy applies across all integration paths.
Overview
Shoppable does not process real orders on behalf of any B2B customer without an active license agreement in place. This policy applies across all integration paths, including Shoppable Ads, Instant Shop, DTC Lite, and Headless/Checkout API.
Why This Policy Exists
Processing real consumer transactions requires that Shoppable has completed compliance and KYC review for the partner. Until that review is complete and a license agreement is executed, you cannot send live orders through the checkout or order fulfillment.
This protects both Shoppable and our partners from compliance risk, fraud, and it ensures every transaction is properly attributed, tracked, and supported.
What This Means for New Partners
Partners can access sandbox and testing environments prior to executing a license agreement. Real order processing, including live checkout, retailer fulfillment, and order data reporting, requires:
- A fully executed Shoppable license agreement
- Complete legal name and address is on file
- Production API credentials issued by Shoppable
A Note for Creators and Smaller Partners
If you're a digital publisher or content creator using Shoppable to monetize traffic, you may wonder why identity verification is required even at low payout volumes. The short answer is fraud prevention. Without identity baselines, the platform becomes a vector for bad actors using fake publisher sites to pass stolen card data in small increments.
